First Nations Programs

As we celebrate Indigenous culture and student empowerment, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Jagera, Yuggera, and Ugarapul Peoples – the Traditional Owners of the land on which BPSSC stands. We honour their enduring connection to this land, their wisdom, and their contributions to our vibrant school community.

At BPSSC, our First Nations programs provide opportunities for students to connect with their cultural heritage, celebrate identity, and develop leadership and life skills.

Didge Program
The Didge Program offers students, particularly young boys, hands-on experience with traditional Aboriginal music. Participants learn to carve and play the didgeridoo, exploring rhythms and melodies passed down through generations and connecting deeply with Indigenous culture.

First Nations Dance Troupe
Our First Nations Dance Troupe performs at school assemblies, special events, and community occasions, bringing energy, grace, and cultural richness to our community. Students showcase their talent and share Indigenous dance with local primary schools, fostering cultural connection and pride.
